Mostly IndicaCannabis seeds containing blueberry genetics are considered the pioneers in hybridization. It all started in the 70s when a few sativa landrace strains were crossed with equally powerful indica strains to create some of the most stunning hybrids we have come to love through the years. The advent of hybridization opened the doors wide for both commercial and residential growers to mix sativa and indica strains at their will. It took decades to create stable strains like Blueberry and considering that many of the hybrids have stood the test of time, all the efforts weren’t in vain. Although the events led to a reduction of pure landrace strains, hybridization has contributed to creating the best cannabis genetics in its own unique way. What makes the Blueberry stand apart from the rest of the crowd is her incredible terpene profile that gives you the feeling like you’re surrounded by luscious blueberries exuding exotic aromas. With delicious flavors that are sometimes sweet and sometimes overwhelmingly fruity, she appeals to your taste buds every single time. Distinct aromas of blueberries become apparent as the plant progresses further into her flowering cycle. Blueberry came into existence when a mysterious breeder named DJ Short decided to cross two Thai sativa strains with an Afghan indica strain. The resulting strains sported various colors ranging from purple to blue. Incredibly, the colors changed according to temperature variations, much to the delight of growers. With levels ranging from 15 to about 24 percent, Blueberry genetics is one of the most formidable cannabis strains created in the 70s. Although she is supposed to grow like a sativa genetically, she displays heavy indica dominance whether you consider the effects or the way she packs dense buds coated with white sparkling trichomes. Known worldwide mostly for her fragrance, her effects inducing a major couch-lock can’t be ignored. She is very resistant to diseases and grows very well in any climate, but colder climates seem to bring out a profusion of colors, making her a fantastic visual treat for any grower.
