Breeders at Dutch Passion Seeds seem to have a crush on everything orange. But, that’s amazing for growers because every time they come up with yet another Orange strain, it only means that you get to enjoy more buds tasting like they were dipped in some fresh orange juice! Orange Special Hill is a wonderful strain that was created by crossing a rare phenotype of a Californian Orange strain with none other than Orange Bud.
So you see, everything about the strain screams orange. Even the pistils take on an orange hue when they head towards the end of their flowering phase. By crossing two Orange cultivars, the breeders not only ensured that the genetics of the original strain was preserved, but they also made the strain super tasty to boot!
Taste
The breeders took a strain that was famous way back in the 80s. They continued the breeding process for over 6 generations to ensure that the resulting offspring smelled and tasted like a spectacular orange dipped in honey. And that’s what you’ll notice when the plant begins to grow. Skunk fragrances dominate your grow room, no doubt, but the presence of mandarin and orange combined with sweeter notes make it seem ethereal. Don’t forget to dry the buds first before curing them. Curing them for longer periods will produce buds that taste exactly like a juicy slice of orange!
