Widow Remedy is yet another mind-boggling strain produced by Barney's Farm. Created with a single goal to kiss your pains away, Widow Remedy is nothing short of a pain killer.
In the beginning, Widow Remedy was created by simply crossing a Kerala strain derived from India with a sativa from Tijuana. The results were great with the strain displaying sativa characteristics and amazingly high cannabinoid levels. Most breeders would stop at this point, but botanists at Barney's Farm wanted to increase the yield capacity and reduce the flowering period. The cannabinoid profile was amazing but they wanted to include a lot more CBD in the final product. Thus, the sativa-dominant strain was crossed with a super strong Afghan strain that resulted in Widow Remedy.
Taste
Widow Remedy exudes a mild fruity aroma when flowering. Installing carbon filters is not mandatory. Once the buds are cured, though, the taste transforms to produce sweeter tones that increase with every deep puff. She also tastes like flowers blending with pine fragrances. The taste of fruits is unmistakably strong but the addition of flowery tones makes it a tasty strain indeed.
Effects
With 60 percent sativa and 40 percent indica, Widow Remedy produces cerebral effects. Of course, the addition of two beautiful strains from India and Tijuana make all the difference. She also helps you relax and let your mind take a break from your chaotic life. With about 3 percent CBD and 18 percent , she is powerful enough to make your mind travel with no inhibitions.
Growing
Like most sativa plants, Widow Remedy grows tall and reaches at least 3.6 feet when grown indoors. Outdoors, the height increases a lot more. No matter where you grow, the yields are fantastic with a capacity to produce more than 500-600 grams/m2 of hard buds resembling rocks covered in resin. Once she starts flowering, she completes her cycle within 2 months, so you get to enjoy the buds of this beautiful Mexican-Indian wonder in a very short span of time.
