As we have commented in our previous articles; the marijuana is legal I() and II(), in Europe the punishment for the possession, consumption and cultivation of marijuana depend on the legislation of each country, police and judges.
The truth is that in Eastern Europe, the legislation of cannabis is the strictest of Europe.
However, and despite that the normative is prohibitive, the punishments are not achieved.
Let’s see what happens with marijuana in the different countries of Eastern Europe:
From the 15th of February of 2013 a law signed by the president Klaus allows to use marijuana as a medicinal treatment in all Czech Republic.

It also allows the registration of authorized companies, so they can develop a work culture of local character.
One patient in Czech Republic can acquire cannabis in a pharmacy with a medical recipe. With a monthly limit of 1.500 crowns, 60€ more and les.
The next step of the pro-marijuana activists of this country is to get that “the old people” could cultivate this plants in their balconies without being punished. Until then marijuana() can only be imported.
The legislation of this country is strict with who stock up, consume or transport marijuana.
In fact, the official numbers confirm that in the polish prisons there are more than 10.000 people that have committed crimes related with marijuana.
However, the strength of the legalization of cannabis in this country is still in the table to be debated.
Janusz Palikot, president of the third most representative party in Sejm after the 2011 elections, made a joint during his work journey, inviting all the journalists to record it.
With this act Palikot wanted to promise that he wanted to promote the individual freedoms of the marijuana use. He wanted to condemn the hypocrisy related with the cannabis use in his country.
From that act it is allowed that the police can decide whether they punish or not who infringe the law, depending if the quantity of marijuana is significant or not.
In this country it hasn’t been detected any sentence related with cannabis() in the last 30 years.
The current legislation sentences the possession and the commerce of marijuana as a minor crime.
The fines stipulated by the law go until 50000 SIT, 200€ and until one month in the prison.
The truth is that the possession of minor quantities of marijuana to the own consumption is regulated by the law offenses and this has an expiration date.
The legislation for possession and cannabis commerce in the Slovakian country is considered a *criminal offense*with a punishment from 3-5 years in the prison.
However, in most of the cases they do community services from 40-300 hours, but the hours can be sometimes reduced because of the well conduct.
Recently in Nitra, a police intervention was realized against “the mayor European marijuana plantation”. More than 5.000 cultivated plants in an industrial park producing 50 kilo of marijuana every week.
Another scandal related with the consumption of marijuana in Slovakia has been started by the sale of hemp chocolate between students in some commerce of the Bratislava city.
In the case of the Baltic countries the legislation increases with the severity of the sentences according to the quantity of marijuana
It is different from other countries, because for example in Germany the legislation seems to be well defined.
