When more time your harvest to dry receives, better will be the obtained product.
A slow heart drying, allows to the chlorophyll to scatter and to improve the flavour and the aroma of the marijuana().
You don’t have to accelerate the drying process with a heat excess or with the excess use of dehumidifying.
If you have a hurry to consume your hearts we give you a trick:
You can dry your hearts over a radiator or distributing them in a baking tray and bake them. The product will be a little bit rough but it is right in a hurry situation.
However, resorting to this method should not be a habit. The best for the plant is to have a more traditional drying, manicured and treated
If you have a cultivation room you can build a good drying wall cavity for the marijuana inside it.
If you build a drying wall cavity outside the cultivation room, you will need a carbon filter, and a ceiling fan extraction to eliminate the odours.
The extractor ceiling fan will allow you to eliminate the odours that the marijuana hearts produce during the drying.
Note that the air has to be renovated every 2 hours, then with a kitchen or a bath ventilator will be enough.
Connect it to a timer and schedule it to work every two hours
There are different ways to distribute the hearts during the drying:
You can dry them using resistant hooks, or you can put them in grids ready for the drying.
We recommend you to hang the marijuana hearts that you are going to harvest in cords because then the air can flow during this period. This will assure that it won’t be neither humidity nor mildew.

To guarantee optimal conditions you will need a* thermometer and a hygrometer* with memory of maximums and minimums.
You will have to remove the big leaves and hang prone the plant or hearts().
Is better to hang the loose branches instead of the whole plants, this will allow that more air flows.
The hearts should not touch among them or the walls of the wall cavity, if it occurs they can rot.
You should check your plants every day and squeeze the heart in order to see the evolution.
Note that if a heart rots you can lose all the harvest, this means that if you find one rot heart you will have to remove it really fast and decrease the humidity of the wall cavity.
After seven days the hearts will have lost the humidity and they will be dry. Then is the moment to make a care manicure.
The manicure is the process which the leaves are removed. In this process all the extra leaves and branches should be removed.
The leaves and leftovers can be kept in the fridge to be used in dye, recipes or in the hashish production
During the manicure the inferior small hearts can be also removed.
During the manipulation of the plants, the ideal is that the texture becomes stickier. This resin is called “finger hashish” and is really appreciated by the marijuana() consumers.
The time of the drying depends on the environment and the year period. You should be really attentive during this process, because if the hearts are dried really fast they will be dry in the exterior and wet in the stem.
A properly dried cannabis heart should contain the humidity of the 15%
To know if a heart has been dried properly you have to hold them with two hands in the eyes high and fold down the two ends of the stem.
If the hearts have dried too much you can collocate them between fresh fan leaves during one night.

To treat the hearts they can be introduced in a hermetic jar until the 80% of the capacity.

During the first weeks the jar has to be opened between 5 and 10 minutes every day, to renovate the interior air. With this action we avoid the accumulation of humidity.
The stored and treated marijuana weed can be kept during months or years.
